1. Entry/Eligibility
A. There is no entry fee for this event thanks to the generous sponsors of the Bertram Rendezvous.
B. There is no restriction on vessel size or type.
C. There is no restriction of number of anglers onboard.
D. It is expressly understood that all registered anglers and their companions, crew members and observers participate in the Dick Bertram Memorial Tournament at their own risk.
2. Time Limits
A. Fishing hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday September 29th.
B. No boat may place lines or teasers in the water prior to 6:00 a.m.
C. All lines and teasers must be removed from the water at 3:30 p.m.
D. Boats must be inside the breakwater in Long Beach by 4:00pm.
3. Tackle
A. There are no tackle restrictions for this event.
4. Grid
A. Boats may leave as early as 00:01 on the 10th from any harbor between Santa Barbara and Ensenada in Mexico.
5. Weighing
A. All fish must be made available for weighing between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Friday the 29th at the Bertram Rendezvous.
B. Any fish not available for weighing by 9:15 p.m. for any reason other than a boat malfunction or line at the scale of fish to be weighed, will not be counted.
C. All fish to be eligible for prizes must be weighed in on the official scale at the Bertram Rendezvous in Long Beach.
6. Prizes
A. 1st, 2nd, 3rd trophies will be awarded to the boats who accumulate the most points using the official scoring matrix. There are no exceptions to the matrix rules.
B. The overall winning boat who accumulates the most points will be awarded the Dick Bertram Perpetual trophy.
Fish against your friends in a casual tournament that will allow you to bring your boat to the rendezvous in style, loaded with fish from an epic day of fishing. The idea for a fun filled shootout came up at the 2018 rendezvous. The idea has since snowballed into an event which should prove to be an epic time on the water for all to kick off this years rendezvous.
